Cake pops

Had try out to bake a cake on Saturday and make some cake pops(by bakerella). It was not an easy job as I watch on YouTube. Totally a torture for me >_<
As I went down to phoon huat to get my ingredient, their candy melt are out of stock :( so they only left the candy dip and peanut butter candy melt(favour that I don't really like.) and I got some lolipop stick and some sprinkler.
First I need to bake a cake, I bought a cake mix at shop n save and try to bake it.
Next I bought an icing powder from phoon huat and try to mix it to be a frosting but I don't understand why I can't make it to a stiff peak form and they are just so watery. I really give up on it and just use that watery frosting to my cake.
After baking my cake I need to smash it and thanks jayden for helping me:) next got to add some frosting into it and roll into a ball and freeze them for about 15min.
Next melt some candy melt, I wonder I need to add some shortening to it as they were not as watery that should be.
End up I fail on melting a candy melt :( and then I can only use chocolate melt that day.kinda waste of my money for that candy melt, and I should try to add some shortening next time.
Ok so I can use use chocolate for a coating for my cake pops.
After melting all chocolate, take out the cake pop and dip in some chocolate on the lolipop sticks and insert to the cake pops and freeze for another few min.
Remain the melted chocolate by giving them a hot bath haha.
After few min is time to deco the cake pops.
Dip all the way down to the chocolate then get away all the excess chocolate but don't shake so hard as the cake pops will fall off. Then sprinkler some sprinkler on top and wait for the chocolate to cool down and it is done! Hmm the taste was like really too sweet. :(
There are so many steps for this little cake pops and I shall try again next time hope I can do it better.

It's fruits tart!

This time round I try fruits tart. Still remember few days ago I make choclate tart? There are some left over dough. So was planning to use that dough to make this batches of fruits tart.
The crust don't turn out nicely that I expected. And my miss look, it was a little over cooked:( I shall not walk away my oven next time.
But overall look good, actually they taste not bad too hehe. The custard was good too. Hmm and this time round there also some left over custard cream. Wonder what to do with that. So that I won't waste.
Can I do some cake pop and puting custard cream?
Hmm what to try next!?
